Try number two at writing a blog. After a 6 day stay at a local hospital in Anchorage, Kikkan was discharged yesterday. After returning to hospital early last week it was determined that her clot had returned larger than the one previously removed two weeks earlier. I think we often feel invincible, but there are some serious risks that we take for granted.
I am very glad to hear that she is doing better and that you guys are willing to share the experience with others as a learning tool, very cool.
I am just sorting out my stuff here before heading down to Boulder for the summer in about 10 days.
I can't wait to get back to the mountains!!!!
